The playful art of deception is one, which I experiment with through my work. I acknowledge the lack of true authenticity within society, through the vast impact of our external influences. 
The images I create are inspired by  movie stills, music videos and social media. My work is a reflection of how we no longer know how to be the spontaneous and authentic version of ourselves and instead are a product of our surroundings. 
My use of rich colours and meticulous attention to detail help explore themes such as beauty in creating a more enticing aesthetic. Through editing my work on photoshop, I change the original image to become a polished and altered version of itself. Therefore the viewer cannot be sure if what they see is the original or something altered, reflecting social media and the images most people post of themselves today. My aim is to represent a world that has become camera ready, and through this, disables the ability for spontaneity to exist.
